They left you.
Not realizing until you’ve said your final good-bye and closed the door behind them, that they are not referring to the past.
They are prophesying your future.
Who can predict the future?
“But it’s your oracle”, Man protested. “Can’t you tell us what this prophecy means?”. “Explaining its meaning, defeats the purpose. The meaning is only clear through the search”, Life replied.
We all go on making prophecies about things in our lives. Either each of us are Prophets or each of us Challenge the existence of God.
If a dream can tell the future it can also thwart that future. For God will not permit that we shall know what is to come. If any dream pierce the veil that lies so darkly over all this and tend to serve all with this vision, God is bound to intervene and change the course altogether. Then… Where is the dream and the dreamer?
The prophecies we tend to make and believe are sought more out of a past experience than a far-sighted vision of what’s coming-up.
There is neither happiness nor misery in the world; there is only the comparison of one state with another, nothing more. No one is destined to be a miser. One becomes so by their own actions. Curiosity plays a major role in the operation of our actions.
Oedipus would not have met his unfortunate end until he was not curious enough to unveil the truth. Macbeth too was caught amidst the swirl of his own actions that guided him to his brutal yet heroic death.
Actions speaks louder than words. Prophecies are mere words. The way you act and understand, makes all the difference between existence and survival. Prophecies tend to lead you to a certain phase of life to achieve the true meaning of existence. But is it mere existence that we live for? Do we exist just for breathing in air? NO.
Your actions decide where you will be. What the circumstances of your life will be. The future exists nowhere without a present. Likewise, Prophecies mean nothing without a past. It is merely an assumption of the predicted future based on your ACTIONS in the Past.
So, just stop prophesying the Future and rather work in the present to decide your future.
Live your life. Don’t just spend the days.
