Battle of Ideas : Still a struggle ?

Dream, Dream, Dream. Dream shall turn into a thought, and the thought shall lead to an action !

We humans cannot but dream, think and act. I think most of us are raised with preconceived notions of the choices we’re supposed to make. We waste so much time making decisions based on someone else’s idea of our happiness – what will make you a good citizen or a good wife or daughter or actress. Nobody says, ‘Just be happy – go be a cobbler or go live with goats.’
Every idea we believe in, we share or we neglect is unique in its own ways.

In the vocabulary of daily speech, the word Idea is generally used to name the subjective content of our own minds-things that each of us has in his or her own mind.

But that, obviously, is not the way the word “idea” is being used when we engage one another in the discussion of ideas.

We live in two worlds :

1. The sensible world of the common perceptible objects that we move around and use in various ways.
2.  The intelligent world of ideas, the common objects of thought.

Idea allows us to risk a substance for shadow, while at the same time lets us stake this shadow to gain back the substance. Ideas can be life-changing. Sometimes all you need is to open the door to just one more good idea.

No idea is not bound by the territory of success and achievement. We don’t think, dream or live an idea for mere survival or mere success. Altogether, it’s not a bad idea to occasionally spend a little time thinking about things you take for granted. Plain everyday things.

Similarly, an idea could be about anything.
From color of your dress to the design of your cabin. It could be a fair judgement of an event or a beautiful person. My idea of beauty is somebody that doesn’t have to try too much, someone who is effortless and fresh.A country, a style or an epoch are interesting only for the idea behind them.

A lot of people have found the idea of living your life over and over again absolutely terrifying; there’s some people that find it very comforting. There are others that are appalled by it. The idea that men are created free and equal is both true and misleading: men are created different; they lose their social freedom and their individual autonomy in seeking to become like each other

We all have our ideas about our life. We all strive for something. Our ideas may appear similar but our contexts would not. We both love the idea of helping the needy. But while person A would want that to happen out of the desire to help the society, person B might be entitled to such ideas out of the demand of his/her job. The idea remains the same but the circumstance differ.

Ideas define Us. They define where we belong to or are capable to belong to. They hold in them the power to turn the world upside down.

We all have our Eureka! moments. But the struggle to make each idea acceptable is an endless battle.

THE WORLD IS NOT BLACK AND WHITE – THERE ARE A LOT OF GREY AREAS, WHICH IS GOOD BECAUSE THAT MEANS THERE ARE A LOT OF IDEAS ONE CAN THINK ABOUT !!
